June 23, 2012 - Haala and the Halo Bellydance Student Ensemble will perform at the annual Shimmy for a Cause in Wilson. This year's charity is the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The show begins at 6pm. More info to come!

Saturday, August 10 - Sunday, August 11, 2012 - Haala travels to Charlotte to study with popular Egyptian choreographer and performer Mohamed Shahin. She will also be performing in the gala show that evening! More information at Pyramid Road's website.

Saturday, September 8, 2012 - Haala has been invited to perform at Project Shimmy, an annual gala fundraiser for the Triad Health Project in Greensboro. More info to come - for now, save the date!

November 9-11, 2012 - 11th Annual NCBellydance.org Fundraiser weekend, featuring workshops with a nationally-recognized instructor and a gala show. The Halo Bellydance Student Ensemble will be presenting the Friday Welcome Hafla on November 9 and they and Haala will perform in the Saturday night Gala Show at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex NC. More information will be announced soon!

December, 2012 (tentative) - Annual Halo Bellydance Student Holiday Hafla in Cary. More information to come.

Sunday, May 6, 2012 - Haala performs at a bridal shower in Raleigh at 4pm. (This is a private event). She would be available for other gigs before 3:30pm and after 6pm.

Friday, May 4, 2012 - Haala performs at a birthday party in Morrisville. (This is a private event). She will be available for other gigs before 7pm and after 9:30pm.

Saturday, April 28, 2012 - Haala traveled to Winston-Salem to perform in "Our Big Fat Spring Hafla", sponsored by Three Graces Entertainment and Twisted Dance. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to NCBellydance.org!

Friday, April 13, 2012 - Haala and the Halo Bellydance Student Ensemble were the Special Guest Stars at Arabian Nights!!! The event took place at Mosaic Wine Lounge, 517 West Jones Street in downtown Raleigh. There was an opening set by the Halo Bellydance Student Ensemble, followed by a set by resident belly dancer Safiya, a set by Haala, then everyone got on the dance floor to dance to the latest beats by DJs NYT and Feinberg!

Saturday, March 24, 2012 - Haala taught a beginning belly dance workshop at St. Mary's School in downtown Raleigh for the lucky winners of the raffle drawing during the gala dinne on March 21.

Wednesday, March 21, 2012 - Haala was invited back to perform and teach at a gala dinner for the students and faculty of St. Mary's School in downtown Raleigh. This was her third appearance at St. Mary's. Pictures and video snippets coming soon!

Friday, March 16 - Sunday, March 18, 2012 - Haala traveled to Mooresville NC to study with international star instructor and performer Aziza of Toronto! She also performed in the professional Dancer's Showcase on Saturday Evening. Video will be posted when available (no photos unfortunately).

Tuesday, March 13, 2012 - The Halo Bellydance Student Ensemble (with Haala) and other local performers were the opening act for the Bellydance Superstars' Club Bellydance Tour! It was an honor to perform on the same stage as the world-famous Superstars! The show took place at the famous Cats Cradle in Carrboro. Photos and video will be posted when available.

Saturday, March 10, 2012 - Haala performed at a baby shower at 5pm, and then a 71st birthday party in Raleigh at 8pm. It was a wonderful evening of celebrations!

Sunday, December 11, 2011 - Annual Halo Bellydance Student Holiday Hafla in Cary. This annual event gives students a safe and supportive environment to perform for their family and friends. This year the hafla took place at The Chefs of India, 748-K East Chatham Street, Cary NC, from 3-5pm. Thank you to everyone who performed or attended.

November 11-13, 2011 - Haala coordinates the 10th Annual Gala Workshop and Fundraiser Show for NCBellydance.org, this year featuring Amani Jabril from Atlanta GA! Workshops and Friday hafla are sold out, but there are still tickets available for the Saturday gala show at the Halle Cultural Arts Center.

Saturday, November 5, 2011 - Haala performs at a benefit show for the Wake County SPCA Black Cat/Black Dog Society earlier in the evening at 7:30pm, then will perform at Chefs of India at 9pm and 9:30pm.

Friday, October 14, 2011 - Haala taught belly dance to a ladies luncheon group in Cary at Chefs of India. The ladies enjoyed a delicious gourmet Indian buffet, a mini-performance by Haala, and a mini belly dance lesson. Because they chose to have their event at Chefs of India, they received 10% off their food purchases and 10% off of my instructor fee.

Thursday, September 15, 2011 - Haala performed at Troy Mezze Lounge in City Market, downtown Raleigh. This was my first time performing at this particular venue and I appreciated everyone who came out to support me :)

Friday, September 4 - Sunday, September 6, 2011 - Haala studied with legendary Egyptian choreographer Mahmoud Reda in Atlanta GA, and performed in the gala show Saturday evening. It was truly an honor to learn from this living legend of Egyptian dance.
